The forecast called for clear skies all day and I naively believed it. After enjoying the first hint of sunshine in days - which lasted 45 minutes, the clouds rolled in and I found myself fighting headwind and rain for most of the remaining 65 km of the ride.
From my 45 minutes of clear skies -
There's not much to report from the road today, I had my head down most of the time trying to distract myself from the discomfort of the wind, cold and rain.
Fortunately the rain subsided long enough for me to set up camp, but it would take some time before I dried off and got warm enough to sleep. I turned in early, hoping to be up and ready to go as soon as I saw sunshine.
Apparently they grow bikes on farms in Iceland
