I spent the morning and mid afternoon soaking in the hot mineral bath and steam rooms at Mývatn Nature Baths. I feel rejuvenated. The ride up to the spa was cool and drizzly, and it stayed that way for most of the time I was there, but it didn't matter to me. The water at the resort was hot and had a rotten egg smell to it. Oddly satisfying.

It didn't hurt that they had a swim up bar.
On a side note, one of the best things I like about Iceland is that wherever I go, the water is your choice of piping hot or near freezing, and always crystal clear. This is the best country if you're concerned about personal hydration and sanitation.
The weather looks like it's going to get down to freezing overnight, with rain and/or snow all day tomorrow. If this turns out to be the case, I'll likely take another off day. Don't want to waste my post spa day high.
